After purchasing my first home a few years ago, I have had so many ideas of how to fix this home into something I can really call my own with my style and flair in it. I watched many videos of home improvement styles and techniques, and it has led me to shipping container homes and tiny homes. This trend is growing all over the country. People are spending less on huge homes, and are being creative to design the perfect more affordable home for themselves with shipping containers.
People online will show you the beautiful parts of anything, here is some info on some things you should look out for before purchasing a shipping container home. Keep in mind, this is an opinion, and you don’t have to agree. Check out these videos from an architects perspective on shipping container home. Is the material safer or better? You decide, but I am taking notes and keeping this in mind to protect myself from a future disaster.

I hope you enjoy these small videos I share on this site. Each one of them helped me fine tune my camera skills so that I can compete with the professionals out there who make the big bucks lol. I often wondered how people create the photos for all of these product reviews online and on YouTube. I saw a few kits on amazon that looked cool, but I’m sick of always having to spend a bunch of money to do small things that I can create myself. Here is what I did.

This is my cheap DIY product photography setup
1. Buy 2 large black and white pieces of cardboard paper from the local dollar store.
2. Also Get some cheap clamps or clothes pins while you’re in the store.
3. Get some string and scotch tape
4. Aluminum foil (to reflect the light)
5. Use any small lamp or lighting you have in the house.
6. Use a TV table or plastic folding table
Put them all together and this is all you need to get yourself started. Here are some of the photos I took with my DIY setup.
