Here are some photos I took in New Orleans. I forgot to add them with the others. My fiancé also took a few photos, I will post those at the bottom. She did pretty good. She is finally starting to trust her camera. Photography is very frustrating when you can’t grab that perfect picture when you want it. You have to figure out which lenses are the best for the look you are trying to capture, and when is the best time of day to shoot. There are so many things that can affect the photos you create. I like to capture people smiling. I like to see them happy. I don’t really need a weird pose, just be normal. It doesn’t even have to be the best image quality, some people may disagree but I like the memories and if it comes out crazy looking who cares. Do what makes you happy.
The first 3 days of my trip to New Orleans I spent taking as many photos as I could. People walked up to me asking for a photo and I am so grateful for that. It made my job easy. My camera bag is full of lenses, but I used these 3 lenses the most. Today I used the Canon 50mm F1.8, Canon 10-22mm, Canon 70-300mm
We took a trip to the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, I took many photos. A good day to go is Sunday. Saturday is very packed and everybody is irritable and hot. Try carrying some water and a map of the museum, it helps. Some of the exhibits cost more money so bring some extra funds. I really enjoyed my time here. I’ve been here many times as a kid, but as an adult there is a greater appreciation of everything shown here.
Below is my equipment list. Play some music and enjoy the photos. Peace!!!
Here are some photos from my trips to New Orleans this past year. I used all of my lenses on these photos. I walked around asking people to take photos of them, people were more than happy to pose for me. People love to be loved, they love attention and it makes them feel good to feel important. I don’t care how you look on the outside, your smile and spirit is what I want to capture. I hope you enjoy my photos, feel free to critique them….enjoy!!!
I filmed scenes from all over New Orleans, this is what you will see when you come here. The city is beautiful. The people are awesome, from rich to poor they all have something to share. The video may be a bit long, but I just wanted to throw in as many small cool shots as I could for the viewer to see. I might redo this video and make smaller versions of it. Whenever I travel to New Orleans I feel at home, almost like a 2nd home for me. Enjoy the video!!!
