Random Photos from Mardi Gras 2018

img_1303-2Here are some photos I took in New Orleans. I forgot to add them with the others. My fiancé also took a few photos, I will post those at the bottom. She did pretty good. She is finally starting to trust her camera. Photography is very frustrating when you can’t grab that perfect picture when you want it. You have to figure out which lenses are the best for the look you are trying to capture, and when is the best time of day to shoot. There are so many things that can affect the photos you create. I like to capture people smiling. I like to see them happy. I don’t really need a weird pose, just be normal. It doesn’t even have to be the best image quality, some people may disagree but I like the memories and if it comes out crazy looking who cares. Do what makes you happy.

The first 3 days of my trip to New Orleans I spent taking as many photos as I could. People walked up to me asking for a photo and I am so grateful for that. It made my job easy. My camera bag is full of lenses, but I used these 3 lenses the most. Today I used the Canon 50mm F1.8, Canon 10-22mm, Canon 70-300mm

Lens: Canon 50mm F1.8, Canon 10-22mm, Canon 70-300mm

Cameras: Canon 80D, Sony a6000, Canon 650D

New York City – American Museum of Natural History

img_1303-2We took a trip to the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, I took many photos. A good day to go is Sunday. Saturday is very packed and everybody is irritable and hot. Try carrying some water and a map of the museum, it helps. Some of the exhibits cost more money so bring some extra funds. I really enjoyed my time here. I’ve been here many times as a kid, but as an adult there is a greater appreciation of everything shown here.

Below is my equipment list. Play some music and enjoy the photos. Peace!!!

Is the Sony a6000 Mirrorless camera…Good or Bad in 2017?

Screen Shot 2017-10-08 at 12.40.31 AMI swear Canon is my favorite, but I needed a small mirrorless camera to walk around with that was close to the specs of my Canon80D. I picked this up for my birthday. I know that everybody is switching to Sony for 4K video, but I’m still happy with 1080p. It does look sharper but I can do way more with 1080p 60 fps than most people can do with 4k. The question is, is this camera good in 2017? I believe it is. Most people think because it’s not the newest camera then it’s garbage. That is not true with this camera.

I like it so far, but it took me a long time to get the XAVC video settings to work with the correct SD card. That was a pain in the ass. What are your thoughts on this camera? From using this for a few days, I like it. It’s not the best camera in the world, but it does the job. I needed something to slide in my pocket if I need to hide it. I film in places most people don’t want to, so I need something small to hide if I have to. If anyone has any tips about this camera, please let me know. Thanx!!!
