Camera Field Monitor,5.5″ 4K Input with 3500mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery 1920×1080 HDMI Screen Camera Field Monitor for DSLR Camera/Camcorder
Many photographers have a hard time looking at the small LCD screen on their cameras. For years I have used an external screen for films, but having this luxury came with a few issues. The biggest problem for me, is the large battery that most of these monitors come with. Some of them use the canon LP-E6 battery, which is small but is still too much weight on my camera.
I finally decided to give myself a gift and I did a search on Amazon for “USB powered field Monitors”. I found dozens of LCD screens, but most of them were too large or way too expensive. After scrolling through so many I found this monitor. It fit all off the requirements I desired and I purchased it immediately. I will put the link and specs below for people who are interested.
Here are some photos I took in New Orleans. I forgot to add them with the others. My fiancé also took a few photos, I will post those at the bottom. She did pretty good. She is finally starting to trust her camera. Photography is very frustrating when you can’t grab that perfect picture when you want it. You have to figure out which lenses are the best for the look you are trying to capture, and when is the best time of day to shoot. There are so many things that can affect the photos you create. I like to capture people smiling. I like to see them happy. I don’t really need a weird pose, just be normal. It doesn’t even have to be the best image quality, some people may disagree but I like the memories and if it comes out crazy looking who cares. Do what makes you happy.
In this episode we followed the 9th Ward Navajo indians of New Orleans. Lets see if The BIG CHIEF has what it takes. By the looks of it, he’s going to be alright. I filmed scenes from all over New Orleans, this is what you will see when you come here. The city is beautiful. The people are awesome, from rich to poor they all have something to share. Whenever I travel to New Orleans I feel at home, almost like a 2nd home for me. Enjoy the video!!!

Eastern State Penitentiary was once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, but stands today in ruin, a haunting world of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers. Known for its grand architecture and strict discipline, this was the world’s first true “penitentiary,” a prison designed to inspire penitence, or true regret, in the hearts of prisoners. Its vaulted, sky-lit cells once held many of America’s most notorious criminals, including bank robber “Slick Willie” Sutton and Al Capone. I took a bunch of photos with my Canon 80D and Sony a6000. I took 5 lenses with me, thats all that could fit in my small camera bag. This was place spooky and cold. I got some good shots, but I would’ve loved to take video. They didn’t want anybody taking videos at all, that was a bummer. We spent about 3 hours there. There is an audio self guided tour you can take for $14. The story of the prison even crazier than the photos. If you want something to do any day during the week come check out Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. They are open from 10am – 5pm everyday. I really enjoyed my time here.
Here are some clips from Atlantic City, NJ. I drove around the city and enjoyed the people and spent some time on the beach/boardwalk. I used to Canon 80D and the DJI OSMO to record these scenes in Atlantic City. Its not easy walking around with a big ass camera, so I’m looking into purchasing something small and easy to hide when I’m on the go. What do you film with and what are some tricks and tips you think I need to add to my videos. Any editing software worth getting?
I hope you enjoy these small videos I share on this site. Each one of them helped me fine tune my camera skills so that I can compete with the professionals out there who make the big bucks lol. These quick tutorials will expand your knowledge of camera angles, grid lines, auto focus points and things most people never think about in filmmaking online. It’s not so simple, you have to learn all of these small things to create your own style and master everybody else’s. Every photographer or filmmaker has their own blueprint on how they film, but the basic steps in this video are used by almost everyone. save this video and take notes!!!
I watch this guy’s videos all of the time for film tips. This video is especially good for people who are looking for that cinematic film look on Canon Cameras. I use these setting as well. Check it out and subscribe to his channel.
We took a trip to the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, I took many photos. A good day to go is Sunday. Saturday is very packed and everybody is irritable and hot. Try carrying some water and a map of the museum, it helps. Some of the exhibits cost more money so bring some extra funds. I really enjoyed my time here. I’ve been here many times as a kid, but as an adult there is a greater appreciation of everything shown here.
Below is my equipment list. Play some music and enjoy the photos. Peace!!!

This is the Commlite mount adapter, it allows you to put Canon lenses on Sony cameras and use the auto focus feature. I love it, I used it yesterday and it worked so well. The auto focus is not as fast as I would like it to be, but for the price its not that bad. I tested a few lenses on it. The Sony camera I use is the Sony a6000, a great mirrorless camera. I particularly like the Canon 50mm lens with the a6000, they work well together. For photos this works great, but for film and video it is not a great combination. If you are OK with using manual focus then you can get excellent results. I have seen some more expensive converters on amazon about 3 times the price of this one. In my personal opinion, the converter I buy shouldn’t be worth more than the lens itself. I think for more professional photographers this would be an option, but if you’re just a beginner save the money and go with this one.
(Canon 10-22mm, 10-18mm, 24mm & the 50mm f1.8)
A few weeks earlier I purchased another converter for $14, but that was a piece of garbage. Be cheap, but don’t be too cheap haha. This lens didn’t have autofocus, it basically just connected my lenses to the camera and nothing else. I couldn’t even manual focus. With my next purchase, I can say I found what I was looking for with the Comix Mount.
Below are photos of my a6000 with a Canon 10-22mm lens connected to it using the Comix lens converter.
My rating for this purchase:
You can buy this on amazon
